Hello readers, Today we are going to discuss a very different topic and literature which is about spirituality, Connecting ourselves to supreme lord and exploring our inner-selves. Their are a million of literature in this  world relating to science, mathematics, Vedas etc. But we are more often inclined towards English literature which is a piece of literary fiction. The simple explanation for that is because we are more attached to material world. Their are certain bondage and sense gratification which bind us to this material world. Lets try to explore spirituality by indulging ourselves in spiritual text. Reading all the manuscripts of any religion is a tedious task which requires most of our energy, time and Knowledge.  So, the task in itself is impossible. But we can begin by reading Bhagavad gita as it is by His divine grace A.C Bhaktivedanta swami prabhupada.  Now, Why should one read Bhagavad gita? Its one of the biggest question of all time. little women by Louisa M. Alcott

Why should you read little woman by Louisa May Alcott. Hello again, To say that this classical bliss is one of my favorites would be an understatement. The author has beautifully depicted the up-downs a family go-through especially when a country is at war. This is a story about four sisters who live with their mother (marmee........as they used to call her lovingly). The story begins with four March sisters-Jo,Meg, Amy and Beth who are preparing for Christmas.   The story has a perfect mix of emotions and drama to it. The story takes you through the journey of the four sisters. Their struggle for money and a good career is overwhelming. Their household runs out of money as their father is out their serving the nation during American civil war. They try to win bread by living  high moral life. The most touching part of the story was that they were themselves struggling for the money  but they still lent their Christmas breakfast to one who were in the dire need of it...

Plight of woman as depicted by 19th century literature

Plight of women in 19th century as depicted by male authors Hello everyone, Today, I am going to write a topic which has been subject of many novels written in 19th century. In history class lecture we used to study that how 19th century literature put forward the topic of plight of the woman in the society and gave birth to feminism. However, whenever I read a classical novel I feel that many 19th century male authors were more feminist than the female authors.   I mean surely characters of woman depicted in any  Jane Austen novel or Charlotte Bronte novel were strong but were these novels able to depict the subject which was seeking attention with foghorns. I mean it only gave whispers of strong-headed women. If you are looking for romantic novels in which woman seek a good career by marrying  a deep-pocketed man with chivalry oozing out of his every pore, then these are the perfect novels for you. But if you have read Tess of the D'Urbervilles by Thomas hardy , yo...

controversial ending of the portrait of a lady

Hello everyone, Nothing is better than drowning ourselves in  the immense ocean of the literature and especially when we are binge reading a classical literature. So, for all the literature nerds out there this is blog where I get to express my views on the most critically acclaimed literature and nonetheless I am open to your views as well. Because literature is nothing but a way to connect and analyse certain complexities of a human mind. In this blog I wish to express my  views on the scandalized ending  of the one the best works of literature. The portrait of the lady kept me on edge throughout the  journey of Isabel archer. No doubt she is one the complex characters ever been written.  She was represented as an independent and strong woman igniting the flames of feminism.  Her views on life were so different from the other ladies of her time.  She was so ambitious a woman that in the first volume, she taught us great deal about...
